Why do I read?

Escaping reality of the every day mindless tasks is impossible. 

Meeting people from different worlds where super powers exist and men travel into the depths of space is impossible. 

Jumping into someone's life and experiencing it with them first hand is impossible.

To relive your childhood in someone else's shoes is impossible. 

Diving into the thoughts of animals and living life as a dog or a cat is impossible. 

But with books, all of this is possible. 

I can escape the everyday. I can meet people from other worlds and dimensions where magic, superpowers, mystic beings and scary monsters exist.

I can jump into someone's life, mid-action and experience it as if it were my own.

I can relive my childhood as another person and gain an understanding of what it would be like to be that person from the bottom up.

I can even live my life as a dog and view the world through their eyes. 

All of these things are made possible by books. 

Without reading, the states are no longer United. The ones who have never experience loss are left blind to the pain of those who have. Those who haven't experienced tragedy are blind to the deep scars of those who have. Those who have not experienced love are unmoved by those who have loved and don't feel empathy towards those who have failed trying. 

The world nothing without books. This is why I read.
